Today, West Coast producer/emcees The Alchemist and Oh No release Vodka & Ayahausca, their second psych-rap full length as Gangrene on Decon. The new record is a follow-up to their gritty Decon debut Gutter Water. Al & Oh again split their time helming mind-bending beats and spitting tripped-out rhymes. Vodka & Ayahausca boasts choice collabs from Kool G Rap, Prodigy (of Mobb Deep), dilated ally Evidence, and Greneberg EP collaborator Roc Marciano, who murders the suggestive “Drink Up”.

Lyrics Born – Variety Show 5 Mixtape

Lyrics Born has just announced the release of the fifth installment in his Variety Show Mixtape series. Variety Show Season 5 will host 2-step & boogie mash-ups and remixes of LB’s tracks spanning his entire catalog. The tape includes special appearances from Sam Sparro, Francis & The Lights, Proh from Far East Movement, Lateef the Truthspeaker, Trackademicks, Joyo Velarde and more. You can expect to hear all the things you love from a Lyrics Born project, but with a new spin. Variety Show Season 5 will be available on February 28th, but LB decided to drop a song off the mixtape as an exclusive download. Our boy Class is back with a dope set of visuals for another cut off his album, Hand Shakes and Middle Fingers. The song “Unusual” features lyrics from Joe Budden alongside Classified. These two trade introspective verses, detailing the pursuit of success and the reality of obtaining it.

Class has been hard at work since the release of his album, and has recently dropped a new mixtape, The Joint Effort Mixtape. The tape hosts features from Royce The 5’9″, B.O.B, Brother Ali, Chino XL, and others.
